SHOW DATES: February 28th at 6PM, March 1st at 3PM

SYNOPSIS

This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

Theatre Apprenticeship Program

This year’s production of Hadestown will include a special opportunity for students to apply for the Theatre Apprenticeship Program (TAP) — a hands-on learning experience for those who want to take their passion for theatre beyond the stage.

TAP allows students to work alongside a local professional, staff mentor, or qualified alum, gaining real-world experience in a specialized area of theatre production such as lighting, sound, set design, costumes, makeup, marketing, and more. Apprentices will help bring Hadestown to life by learning the craft, discipline, and collaboration it takes to create a fully realized production.

Participation requires dedication, curiosity, and humility. Apprentices will contribute time outside of rehearsal and school hours, take direction from mentors, and commit to consistent, reliable work throughout the rehearsal and performance process. This program is ideal for students who want to learn, grow, and gain professional skills in technical theatre and design.
